Need Halloween costume ideas?

Halloween is a fantastic occasion for couples to demonstrate their feelings and affection for each other by wearing matching, or at least co-ordinating costumes. Formerly there were limited available choices for couple Halloween costumes. There were Bonnie and Clyde, Dracula and Bride,  Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers and maybe Sonny and Cher. Hardly, inspiring to say the least.

Fast forward to today and things have changed. There is nowadays a massive choice of costumes.  Many of these couples costumes are exclusive and inventive and a joy to wear Many are funny with a subtle ambiguity. Many of these I hope I get to try. There was one that was designed after the traditional adage ball and chain when talking about the other half. In this costume the woman appears as a huge spiked iron ball. The ball is fixed to a chain which is attached to the man’s costume.

Another, which I thought especially amusing, was the costume with both parties dressed as jailbirds clothed in regular prison orange jumpsuits. The costumes are connected together by an exaggerated set of handcuffs, which may be either draped over the neck or fixed to the waist.

I noticed one costume pair where the couple are in the form of genitalia but with genders swapped. The girl’s costume is phallus shape and the man’s like a vagina. Of course, these choices are not appropriate for family parties and need to be limited  to adult parties. One of the less graphic ones but with nevertheless a feel of innuendo is one in which the lady is a nut and the male is a bolt. I spotted a similar set where the woman is a power socket and the male is a plug.

A few of the other classic costumes I saw included the Adam and Eve set which was precisely large fig leaf clothing over the key areas, and King Neptune in the company of a Mermaid. Fred and Wilma Flintstone are popular cave folks who every year find themselves on the couple Halloween costumes list. Traditionally, for Halloween there are heaps of terrifying choices with warlocks and witches and gothic style vampires with vampiress’s.
 
Couple Halloween Costumes are often the coolest costumes at the party. So no matter what your combined tastes are you can generally find a couple Halloween costume to express them. You can underline your tenderness for one another and have lots of enjoyment together this Halloween.
